Wellness House Clinician 

Wellness House is looking for a full-time clinician to work in our intensive outpatient treatment support services (IOTSS) program for Essex County adults living with mental illness.  Our program members include those with co-occurring substance use and/or developmental disorders.  The Wellness House Clinician is responsible for intake and assessments. Accurately assesses client's presentation, needs and strengths. Develops a treatment plan which is completed jointly with the client. The Clinician provides individual and family sessions, using a range of approaches according to client need and is creative when needed. The Clinician facilitates a variety of therapeutic and skill building groups and works closely with the APN and Manager on medication needs and issues.  The candidate is a culturally competent individual who will work in alignment with Family Connections mission. The candidate is also an effective team player and displays good communication, documentation, and organizational skills.  Wellness House is based on the Wellness and Recovery psychiatric model and Wellness and Recovery Planning.  The Clinician attends and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and weekly clinical supervision which is supportive of all the team members working with our population. 

Education/Certification: LPC/ LCSW, or LAC/LSW required.

Experience: Two years' experience in mental health. Experience with SPMI and diverse populations in an urban setting. Experience in utilizing appropriate interventions in both non-crisis and crisis situations.

Knowledge: Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and various treatment modalities, including group, family, and individual treatment. Knowledge of community resources, social service, and mental health systems. Knowledge of appropriate clinical interventions in a crisis and non-crisis situation.
