Program Development/Grants Coordinator

The Program Development/Grants Coordinator participates in all grant proposal teams and keeps minutes of team meetings. The individual helps the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) organize and schedule action items required for each grant proposal. The Program Development/Grants Coordinator implements specific grant proposal responsibilities such as: searching for relevant demographic and statistical data; research and analysis of proposal-related Evidence-Based Practices and other information; outreach to prospective program partners and obtaining Letters of Commitment, Letters of Support, etc.; writing sections of grant proposal Narratives and Attachments; Collecting proposal components and information from other proposal teams members and other proposal-specific activities as directed by the CSO.

The Program Development Coordinator searches for grant opportunities, successfully promotes Family Connections to grant-making organizations, learns and applies all the elements of Family Connections Brand and leads in developing new grant proposals when approved by the Chief Strategy Officer. The candidate should be a culturally competent individual who will work in alignment with Family Connections' mission.

REQUIRED:

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Two years of experience in social cause activism or non-profit social service setting. 

Excellent writing and proofreading skills; highly organized and strong time management and problem-solving skills; able to manage the  stress of working under tight deadlines. Must have the ability to communicate successfully with people of diverse cultures, ages, and backgrounds.

Preferred:  Candidates with a comprehensive understanding of cultural and/or racial injustice.
